Brief Response — 30-Second Cinematic AI Commercial (Pitch)

Emma Love

This was my pitch submission for Emma.love, the AI relationship platform founded by Mo Gawdat, in response to a competitive brief run through the Reeli creator marketplace. The ask: a 30-second cinematic commercial, AI-produced, delivered to brief.

I produced and delivered the complete spot — narrative arc, character consistency across shots, brand-aligned resolution. The pitch was awarded to another creator, but the work speaks for itself, so I'm sharing it here as a demonstration of cinematic AI production under real competitive conditions.

The Challenge

Emma.love is Mo Gawdat's new AI-driven relationship platform — an alternative to swipe-based dating apps focused on self-awareness, coaching, and intentional connection. The creator brief asked for a 30-second video portraying humorous masculine-feminine communication breakdown — relatable, real-people aesthetic, cinematic quality, with internal-monologue voiceovers revealing what each character thought versus what they said. The technical hardest part: maintaining character consistency across multiple shots (wide, mid, close-up, over-shoulder), with smooth camera movement, lip-sync overlay, and an emotional arc, all in under 30 seconds — using the AI tools available in 2025.

The Approach — A Communication Breakdown in 30 Seconds

I built the commercial around the brief's core scene: a couple's living room miscommunication. The woman asks "which one should I wear?" — but what she means, what he honestly thinks, and what he actually says reveal classic communication breakdown. The cinematography uses warm afternoon-sunset light, shallow depth of field, and smooth camera movement to feel like a real indie commercial — not "AI test footage." The emotional arc lands in 3 acts: peaceful setup → honest answer → emotional rupture → brand resolution.

Character Consistency — The AI Video Hard Problem

The single hardest technical challenge in AI commercial video is keeping the same face across cuts — different camera angles, different framings, different emotional expressions. A single visual inconsistency between shots breaks viewer suspension of disbelief. I generated the principal character anchor images in Nano Banana — using its character-consistency capability to lock both the man and the woman across multiple framings (wide, mid, over-shoulder, close-up). Once the visual anchors were stable, each shot was built in Kling 2.5 Pro using start-frame and end-frame conditioning with lip-sync overlay for the internal-dialogue lines. Voiceover (narrator + internal dialogues) generated in ElevenLabs. Final compositing and editing in CapCut Pro. Across 6+ shots with different angles and emotional expressions, the characters remain visually identical — the technical core of professional AI commercial work.

The Emotional Arc — Setup, Tension, Resolution

The script delivers a 3-act emotional shift in 30 seconds. Act 1 — peaceful setup: woman walks in, asks the question. Act 2 — tension: his honest thought, her interpretation, her reaction. Act 3 — brand payoff: emotional rupture resolves into the Emma.love brand reveal. Each act has its own visual rhythm — the soft warmth of setup, the sharper close-ups of tension, the pink-particle resolution of brand reveal. ElevenLabs voiceover layers narrator commentary over the internal-dialogue lines.

Brand Resolution — From Rupture to Reveal

The closing animation transforms the scene's emotional rupture into the Emma.love brand reveal — pink heart-shaped particles assembling into the brand mark. The visual transition carries the implicit message: if only we could love a little bit more intelligently — which is precisely what Emma.love's platform proposes. Brand integration without a hard-sell — letting the visual metaphor do the persuasion.

The Outcome

Submitted to Reeli/Emma.love's creator pitch in 2025 as a spec response demonstrating cinematic AI commercial capability for a major-name brief. Whether or not selected for ongoing brand work, the commercial stands as proof of what's possible: a 30-second character-driven cinematic brand story, with consistent characters across 6+ shots, emotional arc, internal-dialogue voiceovers, and full brand integration — delivered through pure AI video workflow using 2025-era tools.
